Travel Stipend

Admitted students may apply for a travel stipend of up to $300, assuming they travel from a destination 200 or more miles from Richmond, Virginia. Reimbursement of up to $300 is limited to verifiable travel expenses (plane ticket, car rental, lodging, mileage, food, etc.).  The amount of travel stipend is dependent upon the distance traveled to Richmond.

Please note the following important information regarding our reimbursement policy:

• Admitted students who attend admitted student days are entitled to reimbursement.
• Travel stipends must be submitted and approved before the actual travel.
• Receipts must be submitted within 30 days from the date of travel.
• Only admitted students are eligible for travel reimbursement. Although guests are welcome to attend our open house event and scheduled visits at the law school, Richmond Law is unable to reimburse anyone other than the admitted student for travel costs.
• Only one travel reimbursement request is permitted per admitted student.
• Students who plan to combine their visit to Richmond Law with visits to other in-state law schools must provide us with the names of those schools and the dates of those visits.
